Writing Across the Curriculum Fellow
I got my B.F.A in Integrative Music Studies from Concordia University (Montreal) and my M.A. in ethnomusicology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I wrote my thesis on brass bands in the central Andes of Peru. I'm now at the CUNY Graduate Center and currently working on my dissertation on protest music in Colombia. I taught the core music class and an ethnomusicology seminar at Brooklyn College from 2010 to 2013.
